Nuzz Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
Nuzz ("Nuzz," "we," "us," or "our") is a software platform operated by Playbooko LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("Company"). References to Nuzz throughout this document refer to the services offered by Playbooko LLC under the Nuzz brand.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Nuzz collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at getnuzz.com, the Nuzz application at app.getnuzz.com, and our related services (together, the "Services").
Two kinds of information#
Nuzz handles information in two different roles, and the rules differ for each.
Information we collect for our own business. When you create an account, sign in, pay for a plan or contact us, we decide how that information is used. For this information, Playbooko LLC is the "controller" or "business" under privacy laws.
Information we process for our customers. When a company uses Nuzz, it brings its own business data: CRM records, contacts, deals, activity, meeting transcripts, website visitor activity and files. We call this "Customer Data." We process Customer Data on behalf of the customer, under their instructions and our agreement with them. For Customer Data, the customer is the controller and Nuzz is the "processor" or "service provider." If your information is in a Nuzz customer's workspace (for example, you're a contact in their CRM or you visited their website), that customer's privacy policy governs it, and requests about it are best sent to them. We'll help them respond. Our Data Processing Addendum sets out how we handle Customer Data.
Information we collect#
Account and profile information#
- Your name and email address.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name, email address and whether Google has verified that email. We request only the "openid," "email" and "profile" permissions to sign you in.
- If you sign in with an email link: your email address. Each link works once and expires after 15 minutes.
- Your workspace's name, your role (for example, owner, admin, manager or rep), the team you belong to, and your preferences (such as how Nuzz writes for you and your appearance settings).
Billing information#
When billing is enabled for your workspace, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive and keep your plan, number of seats, subscription status and billing history. We don't receive or store full card numbers.
Usage and technical information#
- Records of what happens in your workspace: for example, the change log of edits and who made them, approvals, and the AI features used.
- For each AI request, a usage record: which feature it was, which model answered, how many tokens it used and its cost. We use these to run AI credits and to watch our costs.
- Security and operational logs from our servers and hosting providers, which include IP addresses, browser type and the time of each request. We use IP addresses to limit abusive traffic, such as repeated sign-in attempts.
- Cookies that keep you signed in. See Cookies.
Information from integrations you connect#
Nuzz only connects to another service when someone in your workspace chooses to connect it. What we access depends on the integration:
| Integration | What Nuzz accesses | Why |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot or Salesforce | Companies or accounts, contacts, leads, deals or opportunities, tasks, owners, and activity such as logged emails, calls and notes, including their content | To show and work with your CRM in Nuzz, and to write back the changes you make or approve |
| Gmail | Permission to send email only (the "gmail.send" permission). Nuzz cannot read your inbox | To send the emails you approve, from your own address |
| Google Calendar | Your calendar events, read-only: titles, times, descriptions and attendees | To prepare you for meetings and follow up afterwards |
| Google Meet | Transcripts of your Meet calls, read-only | To write recaps and next steps after a call |
| Zoom | Transcripts of the cloud-recorded Zoom calls you host | To write recaps and next steps after a call |
| Slack | Workspace members' names and email addresses, to match them to Nuzz users; channel names, to pick where the team digest goes; permission to send messages | To send you briefs, meeting prep and reminders in Slack. Nuzz does not read your Slack messages |
Disconnecting an integration stops Nuzz from accessing it and deletes our stored access tokens right away. Information that was already copied into your workspace stays there until it's deleted (see "How long we keep information").
Information you add to Nuzz#
- Records you create or import (for example, a CSV file of contacts) into Nuzz's built-in CRM.
- Files you upload to the content library, such as PDFs and videos.
- Your conversations with the Nuzz assistant, and the drafts, notes and proposed changes it prepares.
- Your team's playbook notes and instructions.
Website visitor activity (for customers who use Nuzz tracking)#
Nuzz customers can add our tracking script to their own websites. On those websites, the script collects:
- An anonymous visitor ID, kept in a first-party cookie named "_plain_vid" (or the browser's local storage) for up to one year.
- Pages viewed, the referring page, campaign (UTM) tags, on-site searches, time on page, scroll depth and device type (desktop, mobile or tablet).
- From forms the visitor submits: only email, first name, last name and company fields. The script never reads passwords, hidden fields or free-text fields.
- When the visitor opens a personal link to content the customer shared with them, which content was opened and for how long.
Using this information, Nuzz may match a visitor to a contact in the customer's CRM and give that contact a buying-intent score. The script doesn't run when the visitor's browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, or when the website tells it the visitor hasn't consented. The customer that runs the website decides whether to use the script, and is responsible for telling its visitors about it and obtaining any consent the law requires. See our Terms of Service.
Our own website, getnuzz.com, does not use the Nuzz tracking script or third-party analytics.
How we use information#
We use information to:
- Provide the Services: show your CRM in Nuzz, sync changes, answer your questions, prepare briefs, drafts, meeting prep and recaps, score buying intent, and carry out the actions you take or approve.
- Run AI features, as described in the next section.
- Operate accounts, AI credits and billing.
- Keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- Communicate with you about your account, security, changes to the Services and these policies, and, where you've agreed, product updates.
- Comply with the law and enforce our terms.
We use Customer Data only to provide the Services to that customer, as our agreement with them allows. We don't sell personal information, we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use Customer Data to advertise to anyone.
AI processing#
Nuzz uses large language models to understand questions and records, summarize, draft, score and suggest. Today, those models are provided by Anthropic (the Claude models).
What's sent. To answer a request, Nuzz sends the model your request plus the Customer Data relevant to it: for example, the deal you asked about, its contacts and activity, a meeting transcript, or a visitor's recent pages. Background features (like the morning brief or follow-up suggestions) send the records they work on.
What's stored. Your conversations with the assistant, and what it prepares, are stored in your workspace so you can see and continue them. They're kept until your workspace's data is deleted. We also keep the usage records described above.
Training. We don't train AI models on Customer Data. Anthropic's commercial terms do not permit it to use the data we send through its API to train its models. Anthropic may retain requests and responses for a limited period for trust and safety under its own policies.
Human review. AI output can be wrong. Changes that the assistant proposes to your CRM, and emails it drafts, are not made or sent until a person in your workspace approves them. Changes a person makes directly (for example, moving a deal on the board) are saved right away.
Google user data#
Nuzz's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- What we access. Sign-in: your basic profile and email ("openid," "email," "profile"). Gmail: permission to send email on your behalf ("gmail.send"); we cannot read, search or delete your email. Google Calendar: read-only access to your events ("calendar.events.readonly"). Google Meet: read-only access to your call transcripts ("meetings.space.readonly"). You choose which of these to connect.
- How we use it. Only to provide and improve the features you use in Nuzz: signing you in, sending the emails you approve, preparing you for meetings, and writing recaps from your transcripts.
- Sharing. We share Google user data only with the service providers needed to deliver those features (our hosting and database providers, and our AI provider to generate meeting prep and recaps for you), when required by law, or as part of a merger or sale with notice to you. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
- AI models. We don't use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models, and the AI provider we use is not permitted to train its models on it.
- Human access. People at Nuzz don't read your Google user data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it's needed for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.
- Storage and deletion. We store access tokens encrypted. Calendar events and transcripts are stored in your workspace to power meeting features. You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings → You, which deletes our tokens immediately; you can also remove Nuzz's access from your Google Account settings. To delete the data already stored, contact privacy@getnuzz.com.
How we share information#
We share information only:
- With service providers who host, store, process or deliver it for us under contracts that limit how they use it. They're listed on our Subprocessors page.
- With the integrations you connect, when Nuzz writes back to them at your direction (for example, saving an approved change to HubSpot or Salesforce, or sending an email through Gmail).
- Within your workspace, according to the roles and permissions your workspace sets.
- For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Nuzz, our customers or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
How long we keep information#
- Account information: while your account is active, and afterwards as long as needed for the purposes above, such as billing records the law requires us to keep.
- Customer Data: for as long as the customer's workspace exists. When a customer asks us to close their workspace, we delete its Customer Data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it. Copies in backups are removed as the backups expire.
- Integration tokens: deleted as soon as the integration is disconnected.
- Sign-in sessions: 30 days. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes.
- Visitor IDs from the tracking script: the cookie lasts up to one year; the activity it records is kept as Customer Data.
How we protect information#
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest by our database provider, encryption of integration tokens, role-based permissions and approval for AI-proposed changes. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Our Security page describes our practices.
Your rights and choices#
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. To make a request, email privacy@getnuzz.com. We'll verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. If you're an authorized agent, tell us who you represent.
If your information is in a Nuzz customer's workspace, please contact that customer first; we'll support them in responding.
You can also:
- Edit your profile and preferences in Settings.
- Disconnect any integration in Settings at any time.
- Ask us to stop sending you non-essential emails.
- Block cookies in your browser (though you'll need the session cookie to stay signed in).
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers#
Nuzz is based in the United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you use Nuzz from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children#
Nuzz is a business service for adults. It isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy#
We'll update this policy when our practices change. If we make a material change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we'll ask you to review it. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
